A personal note from Val and Pam
We restore furniture because well-made pieces deserve a second life — not a skip. In our London workshop we clean, repair, refinish, and paint by hand, keeping the character that drew us to each table in the first place.
Our signature piece is the oak drop-leaf gateleg table: restored natural oak on top, legs in one of 16 painted finishes. When we spot a strong vintage chest, nest of tables, or desk, we bring that through the same process for the shop.
Our story
How Nuts4Wood began
Nuts4Wood began during Covid, when London felt quieter than we had ever known it. While driving around the city, we started noticing how much beautiful furniture was being left outside, unwanted and forgotten — solid wood tables, vintage chairs, old cabinets, often thrown away simply because they looked tired.
We saw waste, but we also saw potential.

Our mission
Our mission is simple: to give well-made furniture a second life. Instead of letting quality wooden furniture go to landfill, we clean, restore, refinish, paint, repair, and redesign each piece by hand.

Sustainability
Beautiful furniture deserves another chance
We choose finishes and processes with longevity in mind — furniture should last decades, not seasons. Saving a solid wood table from landfill is the most sustainable choice we can make on most jobs.
From a quiet Covid-era start to a growing workshop, we are still doing the same thing: rescuing well-made pieces and putting them back in everyday use.
